Moderator ventana Posted January 5, 2021 Author Moderator Share Posted January 5, 2021 Folks this is what we are up against. When you only paid 27k for your NP and completed it part time, in 2 years this might sound like a nice gig. But for 100k in loans and two years of intensive schooling this is not acceptable. 1

And don't forget they got to work through NP school making RN pay.... Every PA school, including mine, refused to let you work and if you were caught doing it....you would get the boot! ANESMCR
This is a typical average base salary for a PA in my state.
MediMike
How about this? $35/hr for an ortho position...

They will still make more working provider hours as RN so it will be PAs taking those jobs
Moderator ventana Posted January 5, 2021 Author Moderator Share Posted January 5, 2021 And even more disappointing. Mass just gave full independence to NP. Course I still have a SP and tethered to a doc. enough already. Just make us all independent and move on. 1

I really believe post Covid these will be the norm numbers especially for new grads. There are just way too many NP's being cranked out and 28 states for them have no supervising doc requirement. And then there are our restrictions.....
