OBGYNPAC
I currently work as an OB/GYN PA in NYC- I find we are a staple in most inpatient OB/GYN departments here. I am considering moving to NC, and when I do a job search absolutely nothing pops up in the field. Do you guys feel like PAs are not generalized utilized in OB/GYN in NC, or the South for that matter? I would hate to have to consider changing my specialty... I can't even imagine what I would do instead. Thanks
bandofcrazies
Been here for 4 years along with east coast. I have seen NP only.
withheldpermissions
There is a GYN PA that works at UNCG's health clinic, you might want to see if He is still there.
just_nelle
We have a couple OB/Gyn PAs at UNC-Chapel Hill and UNC-Hillsborough. It is sort of an NP-dominated and CNM-dominated specialty in NC but there are some opportunities for sure!
megan548
I would say it's definitely becoming more common to see PA's in women's health here! My practice (GYN) plans to hire me back after I finish PA school
