RF433
I have a recently expired DEA for NH, and am applying for jobs/possibly moving to MA. Do I need to apply for a federal DEA and then something with the state? Just confused about the process and I can't remember what I did last time when I finished school. I will call the agencies but thought I'd post here first. I already have my new state license for MA. Thank you!
mgriffiths
I have never had a state DEA license, since the DEA is a federal agency. Maybe NH and MA are different though.
RF433
yeah it's weird, because for NH I don't recall doing anything for the state, just the federal application. this is the link for the MA pdf form I found: http://www.mass.gov/eohhs/docs/dph/quality/drugcontrol/app-advanced-pn-pa-new-renew.pdf
DizzyJ
Yes, certain states require a state controlled substance license. Hawaii requires one (an NED license) and per the above link it looks like MA does as well.
RF433
thank you for your response! So I just called the federal DEA # and the MA state #, and both said I need a business address (can't use my home address) before I can apply. So that means I would need to have a new job in MA before I can get those licenses?
Moderator ventana Posted September 21, 2017 Moderator Share Posted September 21, 2017 Mass requires you to have a doc in order to get controlled sub license. So yes you would need a job
