JustPassing
Has anybody tried taking the Kaplan GRE course? If so, what did you think? I was looking to take it during Christmas break. The Verbal Anywhere for $400. Would love to hear some feedback
FriarMedic
thats 400 bucks i'd rather put towards a few pa schools that don't care so much about the GRE. The free loaner booker from the library worked just fine.
IdahoPA
I agree. I don't really think the GRE is that big of a deal. In fact, I pretty much think it's one of the biggest scams in higher education. It tests high school math and words you've never heard of. What does that tell schools about you, exactly? I'd hit up your local library and at least familiarize yourself with the test material.
rball641
I also agree. Just make sure you know the different types of questions that they ask, the basic vocab words they will ask, and then take the free GRE test that ETS offers on their website. katethegreat
If you want to pay for help- get a private tutor. Cheaper and more helpful!
digitelle
I took one of those Kaplan classes, the helpful thing was all the tests they provide. It raised my score by 200 points in both subjects.
