AlmostDone2011
I've been hearing that PAs can have opportunities in electrophysiology cardiology. Does anyone here have any experience in this field or can suggest where I can learn more? Thank you
EP-PA
A little late responding to this Question, but YES. EP is a great Niche for a PA. The kicker, like with ALL PA jobs, is working with the right Doc. Should you pursue that route, consider it a must that you study for and sit for the HRS Exam (heart rhythm society). As you enter into EP, your knowledge base will be a lot like a big block of Swiss cheese - sizeable, but full of holes - sitting for the HRS (what we used to call the NASPE exam) will force you to fill in a lot of those holes. As a result, you will feel good about yourself and what you are doing; plus, your colleagues and MD's will respect you more.
