teenyfish
I will be working full time (40hrs/week) for the next six months starting in July as part of my school's curriculum. I am looking to apply in 2015, which would only leave me with early that year to shadow physician assistants which I feel would be cutting it too close. Has anyone shadowed while working full time? Is it possible to find PAs that work on the weekends?
Epangerl
I have one that lets me shadow evenings. I found her by e-mailing the state chapter of AAPA.
Mike Goldstein
A lot of EMPAs work nights. Two of my friends work nights, so I can shadow them no problem. It really helps because I work 60-70 hours a week, which makes shadowing during regular office hours pretty much impossible. UGoLong
I shadowed a PA in the ER overnight. Made for a very long day, but it's doable.
ktcan10
Find someone you gel with. I shadowed an ER PA on the swing shift (6-2), and she let me come and go as I needed to to get some relevant experiences while maintaining a full time job and near full time school hours.
