andersenpa
From the AAPA site http://www.aapa.org/twocolumn.aspx?id=2651 May 23, 2014 On May 21, Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton signed into law House File 2402, a public health omnibus bill that makes several improvements to laws governing healthcare in the state. The improvements include a provision that removes the “apostrophe s” from all references to PAs in the Minnesota statutes. The Minnesota Academy of Physician Assistants (MAPA) advocated for this change, citing a need for consistency throughout the law. Over the years, bill drafters and lawmakers have added “physician's assistants” to various provisions of state laws and regulations. While these previous efforts to add PAs to laws outside the practice act were done in earnest, MAPA recognized it was time for some cleanup, and worked with AAPA staff to identify all sections of Minnesota law that needed updating. The changes to the law go into effect July 1.
Guest Paula
Michigan has yet to get rid of the apostrophe s. Did MN PAs get anything else changed in their practice acts?
