dream2pa
Hi there , I am planning to take my GRE by December and was wondering what is the best way to prep for verbal section ? I have bought the book from the ETS but it does not have any word list. I appreciate any advice . Thanks
GreatChecko
I used a vocab app on my iPhone. Seemed to work alright. I've been using brainscape for school and I bet you might be able to find a GRE vocab list on that website/app, might even be a free one.
Patxhopeful1
My advice-don't try to learn the exact definitions of words. I did all my studying using word groups and I did well above average on the verbal. You wont ever be asked what a word means but you will have to look at a sentence and decide which word can fit. If you learned 15 words that mean generally the same thing you will have a much broader word base to work with. That being said I used Kaplan and they provide word groups in the book. Patxhopeful1 I looked at the kaplan word groups and they definitely make verbal prep whole lot easier. I really appreciate your help :)
