parnemt
My school is offering to pay $400 towards registration fees and travel expenses. What certifications/courses would be helpful/interesting? I already have ACLS, PALS, and ITLS. ATLS cannot be taken until the "-C".
Moderator EMEDPA Posted October 6, 2013 Moderator Share Posted October 6, 2013 you can take ATLS as a student with permission of the course director( Several in my class, myself included , did this). the following are good courses: fccs-critical care also -ob abls-burns difficult airway
Administrator rev ronin Posted October 6, 2013 Administrator Share Posted October 6, 2013 Others might include NRP (if EM, OB, or peds interest), PHTLS, and AMLS... but I would recommend these if you can't get into the ones that EMED recommends and you are running out of time to use the funds and time. SHU-CH
It looks like you are interested in emergency, so I would go with Emed's suggestions. Difficult airway and fundamentals of critical care are both good courses to get under your belt.
